The library and the reading room is kept open from 8 am to 4.30 pm on all working days. |

Perfect silence must be observed in the library, reading room and its immediate premises. Users are not allowed to sit on steps or stand near the door. |

Students should keep their belongings in the racks near the stair case. Each student shall write her name and other details in the register placed at the entrance. |

They are allowed to take only pen and paper inside the library. They should show it at the counter while entering and leaving the library. |

(5) |
Students shall bring their identity card, library cards and pen when ever they come to the library, and identity is to be shown at the counter. |

(6) |
Students have direct access to the books of their own specific subjects. After taking the book they shall write the details in the form available from the library. The counter assistants will write the data of return on the slip pasted inside the books. After entering the same in the computer they will give the books to the concerned students. Before leaving the library counter, each student must satisfy herself as to whether the books lent are in sound condition and if not she must immediately report the matter to the librarian. |

Special care should be taken to see that the library cards are not misplaced or lost. Library cards are to be returned at the completion of their course of study or when they discontinue. |

Students will take the books from sections like novels, short stories and dramas on the days allotted to them which are as follows: |

Books from all other sections will be issued on any other day of the week, from 8 am to 3.30 pm except on holidays. |

The books in the reference section should be consulted within the library. |
| |
(10) |
The students must not forget to get back the library cards on their return of the books. |

(11) |
No combined reference work or discussion is to be done inside the library. |

(12) |
Students are not allowed to exchange the library books or lend them to anybody. They are strictly forbidden to take books on behalf of other students. |

(13) |
Damage or loss of books should be immediately reported to the librarian. |
| |
(14) |
Current issues of periodicals are kept arranged on the racks and back issues of the same are kept underneath. Students should take care to replace them in respective places after reading. Students are strictly forbidden to tear off the pictures or articles from the magazines or journals. If any mistakes on the part of students are found, those magazines will not be available to the students. |
