The MHRD and University Grants Commission have given directions to all the universities and colleges to establish OBC Cell. The OBC Cell of our college was established in the year 2020-21dated 03/06/2020. The cell works for the welfare of the OBC students. The cell ensures that the various schemes like reservation in self-finance courses and scholarships is maintained, monitor the welfare schemes and helps them to integrate with the mainstream.
Objectives:
- To guide and support them in their problems and to help them to manage academic and non-academic activities
- To inform them about various welfare schemes and other government orders particularly for the OBC community and to function as a grievance redressal cell
- To instil values and boost the self-confidence and leadership quality among students
- To organize seminars, workshops relating to OBC development.
- To encourage them to participate in the socio-cultural activities
