Community Service

In association with UBA, as per the requirement for a survey from Madakkathara panchayath to collect information regarding Covid- 19 and related health aspects of residents of panchayath and "Vathilppadi Sevanam", our students from second year and final year B.Sc. Computer Science students conducted a telephone survey of all households under Ward 1 and Ward 2 with a pre-defined and structured questionnaire approved by Panchayath at its meeting. The collected data has been analyzed, a report is prepared and submitted to Panchayath on 16^th November 2021.

The department believes in the "Holistic" development of her students, and hence aims at instiling Community Service Responsibility in each one of them through the following programmes conducted every year.

• Peace Home/Orphanage Visit
• Sponsoring of VCASS students through alumnae Support
• Paper Bag distribution in association with UBA Vimala College by S5 Comp. Science 2020-21
• Distribution of needy materials such as groceries and provisions during occassions (the students are responsible for mobilising the resources

Community Out reach program

• Mask Distribution in the wake of Covid Pandemic April 2020
• In association with UBA, the department, started TEQIP - A digital Dashboard to facilitate online teaching on 15th August 2020
  • ​A google classroom which has tutorial videos about Google Apps, OBS software, Webex, Kahoot, MS Office Apps.
