Young Innovators Programme (YIP)
Young Innovators Program (YIP) is a Govt of Kerala initiative run by Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC). The goal of the program is to expose students to a culture of innovation. YIP aims to empower the youth to innovate products, services or solutions to meet the emerging requirements of the market/society/country through an innovative challenge.
Vimala College become the part of YIP in 2020 onwards with the institution ID 17799. College level Coordinator of the programme is Dr.Sr.Silvy Mathew. A team of 5 students from S4 Physics become the state level winners on the topic Tapping Heat Energy from Incineration Energy, E Mobility and Renewables.
