Dr. Sr. Beena Jose awarded TORCH International Fellowship, University of Oxford, UK. The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities offered fellowship for the project entitled “Anglo-Indian Perspectives on Human Dignity in Health Care and Medical Research”.

Dr. Sr. Beena Jose received GRABS Achievement Award for Excellence in Teaching and Research 2019 instituted by GRABS Charitable Trust, Chennai.

Dr. Sr. Beena Jose, Presented a paper on Recent Developments in the Chemistry of Life and “Science Playing God”: A Critical Study of the Theological and Ethical Aspects of Science’s Attempt to Synthesize Life at the Student Forum of the Jesuit School of Theology (JST) of Santa Clara University held at JST, Berkeley, California, USA.

Dr. Sr. Beena Jose, selected as a Resource Person and delivered a talk on “The Chemistry of Life: Theological and Moral Implications of Science’s Attempt to Synthesize Life” at the Global Engagement Office (GEO) of Santa Clara University inaugural Scholar Lecture Series held at the Santa Clara University, El Camino Real, California, USA.

Dr. Sr. Beena Jose, presented a paper on “Chemical Perspectives on the Origin of Life and the Creation of Synthetic Cell” at the International Conference organized by the Global Academic Network at the Mount Saint Mary’s University, Dohney Campus, Los Angeles, USA.

Dr. Sr. Beena Jose,  presented a paper on “Ethical Implications on Creating Life: The First Synthetic Cell” at the 8th International Conference on Ethics in Biology, Engineering & Medicine organized by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York and held at St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York, USA.

Dr. Sr. Beena Jose, presented a paper on Recent Developments in the Chemistry of Life and “Science Playing God”: A Critical Study of the Theological and Moral Aspects of Science’s Attempt to Synthesize Life at the 5th International Conference on Religion and Spirituality in Society held at the University of California at Berkeley, USA.

Dr. Sr. Beena Jose, selected as International Visiting Research Scholar  (Post-doctoral fellow),  at Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University, Berkeley, California, CA 94709, USA to carry out research on the topic “Recent Developments in the Chemistry of Life and “Science Playing God”: A Critical Study of the Theological and Ethical Aspects of Science’s Attempt to Synthesize Life”.
