The Biodiversity Club of Vimala College (Autonomous), Thrissur, is a registered entity under the Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB) with Registration No. KSBB/BDC/08096/20. It was officially inaugurated on January 1, 2021. In recognition of its efforts, Vimala College received the prestigious 'Biodiversity Conservation Award' for the year 2021-2022, an honor instituted by KSBB.
The club actively promotes biodiversity conservation through a variety of awareness initiatives, including organizing lectures, seminars, and workshops. It also commemorates biodiversity-related days, engages in activities like planting rare and indigenous tree species, hosting photo exhibitions, and participating in floral and faunal documentation to contribute towards environmental awareness and conservation.
