Research Infrastructure

The Vimala Physics Research Centre (VPRC) is a progressing centre for research in Material science as well as theoretical Physics. The Department of Physics is financially supported by various central government Research grants like Department of Science & Technology (DST) Fund for Improvement of Science & Technology Infrastructure (FIST), the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Star College Scheme, DST Consolidation of University Research for Innovation & Excellence in Women Universities (CURIE), Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), University Grants Commission (UGC) College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) etc. The research laboratory with the equipment is set up and the analytical facilities are being utilized by the researchers across the state. A materials synthesis lab is also being set up in the department.
